Video activities for dementia

Lots of conversations to choose from!

What is Let’s Chat?

Let’s Chat DVDs are designed to provide a unique opportunity for connection of an older person with their companion through stimulating conversation.

Let’s Chat DVDs are perfectly suited for people with a recent diagnosis of dementia or for those who have recently attended an NHS Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST) course.

We use familiar themes in our DVDs to provide cognitive stimulation through activities for people with dementia that support them and their companions to connect to the wider world together.

We have created themes that encourage conversations and are based on memories that are often familiar to us all. Themes can include: A Nice Cup Of Tea or Harvest or The Seaside. There are lots of ideas to build conversations around.

If you are less able to get out and about it is even more important to make time to chat and to find some joy in connecting in a shared experience together. Let’s Chat is ideal for a loved one at home, for residents in a care home or for clients of a home care company. Let’s Chat testimonials

Let’s Chat is a lovely idea, simple and slow in delivery, reaching those in need of stimulation as well as those on the dementia scale.

Val Jones

Occupational Therapist

I highly recommend Let’s Chat as a resource for anyone living with memory problems or dementia. It’s an enjoyable activity, designed to be shared with a companion, to support conversation. It uses elements of reminiscence and cognitive stimulation which are known to support function and wellbeing in people living with memory difficulties. Whilst it is a well-structured activity, it can be used flexibly with opportunities to chat more around different themes and topics as they may emerge.
I would recommend Let’s Chat as an entertaining and enjoyable way to help support cognitive function.

Dr. Katherine Scott

Memory Service Consultant

Really lovely – congratulations on a great resource!
